ehhh the best results I have always had is with a cooler color temp like as close to 4k

5000K starts to look blue. 4300K is what comes from the factory. Anything higher will look pretty but will actually decrease the overall amount of light shining on the road. I ordered an aftermarket Xenon fog light kit with 4300K bulbs, and they are a spot-on match.
