Front turnsignal bulb type?

Sounds like a simple question, except that I have seen 3 different numbers relating to this bulb already. 7505, 1156, and p21w. I would LIKE to switch them out with the Silverstar dichroic bulbs (blueish when off, DOT amber when on), but can not really figure out which freaking bulb it REALLY is. Or if Osram even has the bulb in that #.

No LEDs for me yet. I'll spend the 60$ on 2 bulbs later.

I'm looking for this answer as well, because I bought the 7507 but it turned out not to fit. I have the HID's on my Mini.

its simple, take out the bulb and look at the bottom. if there is only one contact in the middle of the bottom its 1156. if there are two contacts on bottom its 1157. i have a 2012 with adaptive hid and mine were 1157's but it seems some countryman owners have 1156 in the front turn signals. i do not know why but they are not interchangable. use 1156 or 1157 that it came with will save you money and time.i ended up getting 1157 amber led's off ebay for the front turn signals for $16.99 and paid $7.99 for resistors. it worked out awesome!!! there is a thread on here for "do not buy switch back bulbs" that covers led's for the front turn signal pretty well. i recommend searching for it before you purchase anything

I feel that if I buy an LED and resistor bulb, it kind of negates the fact that it's a low-power consuming bulb...adding the resistor just makes it draw as much power as the normal bulb. (barring the fact that LED's have 1ms turnon, and incandescent has over 100ms turnon time) The fact that the computer keeps giving errors if you put in an LED makes it not worth while.....
However, thank you for the info. I will just yank the guy out and see if it's marked, or at least search for the base type. And if I wanted to save time and money, I would have bought a Juke ;-P

you are correct about negating the low power consumption, but you will have to code your countryman or buy expensive bulbs with the resistor built in not to get a dash light. i wanted to take advantage of the extra money i payed for clear lenses that came with amber bulbs that turned the lense back to amber. i tried the chrome bulbs, but they are very dim and still show the amber because just the top of the bulbs were chrome. the led bulbs should last longer and make my blinker totally clear which looks much better, and the led's are as bright or brighter than the original bulbs, and makes the car look as expensive as it is with the cool HID's. so the led's were a win win for me, good luck on whatever bulbs you choose.

The front turn signal bulbs are P21W.
I bought the DIADEM PY21W bulbs from OSRAM that are a bit clearer.
Looks better now
