2008 Cooper S Clubman. Left possibly with key in ignition for an hour or two. Started relatively normally, but began flashing warnings for Stability control failure, Airbag system failure, several others, fuel level shows zero and icon is lit, low tire warning is on, etc, etc. I unhooked the negative cable and left it off hoping system will reset.

Any ideas? Anyone encounter this before?

Ok, that reset the computer, which is no longer on freak-out mode, but now the engine light is on. Haven't looked at the codes yet.
