How to test HID output?

Yellow,

I don't really know if the title is the correct way to represent this problem, but I was wondering how I can see if my aftermarket HID kit is producing the whole nine yards. My lights don't seem too bright and just want to test and see if im getting the whole nine yards. Is a muli-meter the way? Am I looking for how many volts im pulling or what? I'm just wondering if there is a way to test this and how to do it?

What you need is a light meter and measure the amount of lumen and compare them to the amount the seller said they should have. HID bulbs will degrade overtime and have a slight colorshift from my experience. Nothing huge, but old vs new can be discernible to some.

Yellow,

What kind of light meter? The ones you use in photography and cinema?
