I'm planning to switch out my drivers seat for an aftermarket one on my 06 'S' only because it's not working for me anymore. Is there anything i can do for sure to not have any airbag lights come on? I read that a lot of people seem to get resistors to work, but i want to make sure. The yearly inspections here in VA make it so that you have to repair any issues with airbags before you can pass... Want to be sure before i do surgery on a functional seat to swap the mat to a new seat. Thanks in advance!
The resistors work. If you already looked at the other write ups you probably know which ones to use. :tu:
Even for a car with the seat-side airbags? And i've seen several different resistors listed...

Use a multimeter and find out the resistance on the chair itself, then you'll know exactly which resistors to use
Yup. The point of the resistors is to fool the car into thinking it has a seat in it with the airbag.
