I want to switch from the OEM driving lights to Hella 500's (both use same bulb) and I will need to cut the connector from the OEM light harness to splice it to the Hella 500. The OEM wires are "brown" and "purple w/black stripe. Can anyone tell me which matches up to the "red" and "black" wires on the Hella 500?

Brown is the ground, I know because I installed the OEM drive lamps myself and usually black is ground too. Hope that helps!
