It's really pretty straightforward. You're changing the programming for "l" and "L" modes... print the instructions, read through the options, mark on the sheet exactly how you want to set each setting, then follow the instructions exactly and it works.

Recommendation: do NOT disable x or k (unless you KNOW that NO law enforcement agencies in your state/region still use them - they DO in mine) - but instead enable auto-muting of K band, and do NOT pick the options to unmute when the signal gets strong (because it will every time you get close to a Walgreens)... and turn on auto muting for rear K-band signals. Then set auto-mute time to 3-5 seconds.

Once that's done, use "A" mode for interstate cruising, and "l" or "L" modes for around town. It'll make a huge difference in how much you love your V1.

Here's how mine is set now:
1 up
2 up
3 up
4 up
5 up
6 up
7 down
8 up
A up
b down
C down
d down
E down
F down
G down
H up
I up
J up
u up
