More light....

If looking for 'more light' and you don't have Xeons.....

I always thought the headlights were weak - even tho aimed correctly - but didn't concern myself 'til spousal unit said she didn't like driving the car at night because of the crappy headlights.

So I replaced the bulbs with SilverStars......

No more complaints and when we go out after dark she's once again willing to be the DD

An easy $20 fix.... (twice that if you decide to replace the high beam too .... yes, they use the same bulb)

I disagree, I've found the factory fogs quite useful for seeing the lines and edges of the road on rainy/foggy nights. They don't throw the beam far, but they do show the edges like a fog light should.

And turned on......

What brackets are you using? That is the look I want with some different lights. Also, what size are those? Nice look.

I have experiance with the Silverstars they're good, I sitwched over to Hella H7 replacements and even with the yellow film they are very powerful bulbs.

The lights are 6" in diameter. The brackets were custom made by a friend from 1" steel tubing and are bolted to the bottom of the bumper frame. You could tow the car with them they are so sturdy.

On several older cars I've owned, I spliced into the high beam hot wire to power a relay for the driving lights to get them to come on with the high beams.

Given all the electrickery and modules on our cars, I'm wondering if this would work, or cause electrical problems & warranty issues...
