Gauges installed in center vents

I am interested in installing two autometer gauges in the vents next to my speedo. What additional parts do I need? Any pro or cons to installing the gauges in these vents? Any help is greatly appreciated.

www.outmotoring.com has a kit specifically to do this modification.

This is a good idea, but I would suggest you take a good look at the locations now and see if you can read the gauge. I know I wouldn't be able to read the gauge in the closest vent. The steering wheel blocks my view.

Plus I would never give up 50% of my A/C vents ! ! ! LOL

I gotta say, the logic used to sell the vent gauges is just a tad flawed: The a/c power at full is 1/4 what it is in other cars, so we'll eliminate 1/2 of it. But, hey, if you don't care, seems like a convenient place to put some guages, if you can see them there.

At any fan speed, there is a quantitative volume of air being blown out of all the open vents by the fan motors. If you close 1/2 of the vents, the same volume of air will still try to exit, causing the remaining open vents to have roughly twice as much flow.
