Electrical LED's Front sidelight??
I've seen a post about it either here or MINI2. Apparently the R56 tests for working standard bulbs in the sidelights (like what is common for turn signals). You can "fix" it with a load resistor to simulate the load of a standard bulb, although you will lose the heat and power advantage of LEDs.
The load equalizer kit that autolumination sells for 5 watt bulbs has a 100 ohm resistor. Generally you want the use the highest ohm value that will fool the computer, to minimize power usage and heat. If I were experimenting on my own, I would start at 500 ohms and go up or down to zero in on the optimal value.
