Iowan's Wave!

So the wife and I took a trip to the Chicago area slightly Northwest of Chicago(Probably an Hour from Downtown Chicago). We went to see out new niece! We took 151 up to Dubuque and then drove 20 all the way over. It's always a nice drive, especially the Galena area . I saw several MINIs on the way out and back. The first MINI to cross my path wasn't until way into Illinois. Rockford area actually. I drove past her and waved. No wave back. A smile, but no wave. A smile is nice though right? I let it pass and kept driving. The closer I drove toward Chicago the more the MINIs I crossed. Probably around 10 or so between driving there and driving back. I didn't get a wave at all until I got back in Iowa! Disappointing overall, but I felt good the ones that did wave were from my home state! The first wave from just outside Dubuque on 151 and then about 30-45 min later a blue Roadster waved!

Thank you Iowans for keeping the Wave alive! (of course I still fight the good fight here in CR and still don't get saves at times) I will still be waving to my fellow MINIs out there!

I try to wave, but I hardly ever get one back. The next time you pass by Cascade be sure to wave at the town. My Mini will wave back in spirit.

Next time I drive past, expect a wave from the highway!
