I was just wondering if there was a group of western Iowa MINI's that wanted to do something in the coming month or so. I was just thinking along the lines of many of the functions are 1-2 hours away from western Iowa and from a college student's standpoint, thats 2-4 hours gone from studying on a weekend. Just throwing this out. I did see that there were some weekends in the next two months that didn't conflict with major EIM events.

 

I believe your only NAM-based option would be the Omaha CORN group:

A couple of active folks around Des Moines who correspond via the MINICooperIowa Yahoo! discussion group organize events on occasion, historically only a few times per year at most. Many of us EIMers are in this discussion group as well, so we can correspond with our Iowa MINI brethren farther west. Their big annual Fall Tour (in which EIM participates) can happen anywhere in the state, east or west (this year it's on Oct 9th and is planned for the southeast and south-central parts of Iowa). In the past few years I've observed attempts to get clubs going in Glenwood, IA and Sioux Falls, SD but neither has seemed to be able to garner any local traction. The former's website is defunct, and the latter's NAM Forum is silent.

 

Not sure about a Central Iowa club, but there is the British Car Club of Iowa and there are plenty of MINI's that belong. Once a month events including car shows and drives. PM me with more questions.
