Hello there. I was just wondering what some of the good driving roads might be for those in the greater Des Moines area for a Sunday morning drive. thanks.

 

One of my favorites is driving a loop around Saylorville Lake -- from the dam up to the mile-long bridge at Polk City, then up to Big Creek, then back down to the dam, then to Johnston for some treats!

Another variation of the loop -- take NW Beaver Drive all the way to Jester Park, then drive thru the park. Beautiful!

 

Ok, I just looked at that route on Google Earth and it looks like a nice ride. I'll have to try that next semester when my MINI is up here.
