Helix | Customer suggestions/questions/comments

I think Alta had a great idea opening up a thread that is dedicated to customers giving feedback so Id like to do the same for Helix. Please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions on how we can serve you better. Thanks!

Alex

I could list all day but i think a big one is a black FMIC. I don't want it showing thru on my PW JCW when I get one...

You're the second person in a week that has mentioned this. Several months ago, I looked into getting thermal coatings done on intercoolers, and found a couple of vendors. The cost to us was a little over a hundred dollars. I wasn't sure if there really was a market for this so I didn't pursue it, but maybe I should. A long time ago, somebody here on NAM did before and after testing on a thermally coated stock R53 intercooler. You probably can search for it. If I remember correctly, the results were moderately positive, with slightly better heat exchange and IATs.

You could also paint your intercooler with a rattle can, but that probably would compromise the performance a bit...

Speaking of this, will pricing ever be posted on the website?

I can't afford one anytime soon, but you never know. I might win the lottery!

I know this is an old post, but we are experimenting with a black thermal coating on the coolers. We will do several and get a price from the coater. I'll post when we get more news.
