Alta 17% or 19% version 2.0 pulley

Hi guys,

I have a 2003 MCS JCW with the 210 HP upgrade.
Have installed JCW Motorsport headers,
GTT 16 tube large top intercooler,
GTT/JCW Hybrid induction Kit upgrade,
GTT Oil Catch can,
Magnaflow exhaust.

It runs great but would like to increase power a bit more (don't we all).
I am thinking of getting the Alta 17% or 19% supercharger pulley version 2.0 and would like to hear all positives and negatives about this mod.
According to the Alta web site, the boost will be raised 3-5 PSI, can expect a increase of about 20 HP and no modification to ECU required.
Your comments will be appreciated.
Thanks. Manuel

I'm not sure where the question is or if you're just looking to verify their claims but here goes.

Traditionally a pulley will show gains of 14-16 WHP on a STOCK CAR. JCW already comes with a 13-14% pulley, so you're not going to see much of a boost in performance. The best bang for your buck on a JCW for "Wow that's a lotta HP" is going to be either an exhaust header or a new port and polished head.

The JCW head is ridiculously bad at flowing high numbers, people have seen gains of 25-30 HP with just a head, and another 8-10 HP with a cam on the JCW .

I don't understand the concept of how exactly a pulley works, well I know that it is
bigger or smaller changing the number of rotations and increases power.... My question is what is the negative side of putting a pulley in? Like if you go to the dealer for a service check up is that a warranty void. I'm more concerned about the health of my engine and supercharger, I want more power but don't want to abuse the car. Can anyone give me some advice.

I have a 2006 mini cooper s, nothing done performance wise except an intake!

Thanks
