Drivetrain Helix Cold Air Intake. Any Feedback?
Helix Cold Air Intake. Any Feedback?
I'm looking at Buying the Helix Cold Air Intake. any thoughts or feedback about that particular one? does it change the sound of the engine? can i feel the difference in power or that only come with the combination of the intake and other mods?
Good choice - it's a nice design. Some of the others are designed more for looks, Helix's is all business. Install is a little tougher - it's not a "drop in" replacement - but it's ensures you're truly getting cool air, not just MORE air...
You'll notice the difference - it wont be huge, but it will be noticable - in both sound and performance.

Quite a bit louder, noticeable w/ the butt dyno (of course could be placebo). There's really no reason to spend more than $200 for a CAI in my opinion.
Only complaint I have with the Helix CAI is that with the supplied air filter, you need to half-way disassemble the metal partition to take the filter out, because it is too long and you can't slip it out (if you use the supplied replacement back cowl piece. I suppose if you left that out, you could take the filter off easily).
