ever been here??

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/project_mini.shtml

my buddy goes here for a lot of his E30 parts. He told me about this particular section and it looks like they have some pretty good stuff. It looks a little pricey, but if they are good quality parts then it would be worth it! I've read a lot about people doing Alta intakes...anyone hear anything about TMS?

We've spent a lot of $$$ at Turner over the years on e30 parts, too... Their stuff is great and their service rocks!

Thanks! I trust him a lot when it comes to BMW's but seeing as he doesn't have a MINI i wanted to get some feedback from everyone here. Also, I was wondering how big of a difference the silicone inlet hose made as compared to the stock hose? is it worth the extra $70?? It makes sense what they say on the site:
"Finally the rubber inlet hose connecting the air box to the throttle body is also replaced. The factory part is corrugated and ribbed on the inside. Turbulence is created and air flow velocity is reduced, compromising throttle response and upper end HP when used in conjunction with a bored out throttle body. The silicone hose is mirror smooth promoting a high velocity air charge."

I'll presume you're talking about a cold-air intake? A couple of years ago somebody took the time to dyno a bunch of different cai's. It turned out that the Alta made more hp with their silicone tube than without. It would be worth it to me, anyway.

I bought one, not the Turner one but I was thinking the same thing, smooth is better than bumpy. When I took the stock hose off I was suprised. It is mostly smooth, the only ribbed portion is the part that is closest to the airbox, probally there for any engine movement. But the majority of the hose is smooth. Was it worth it? Probally not, but I do like the shiny smooth exterior of the intake hose.

Just bought a set of wheel studs from them after being referred by TX Speedwerks. Smooth, fast transaction, and the studs look like good quality parts.
