Larini?

Am ready to get rid of the stock cat-back on my '06 MCSa. Have seen a lot about other systems but not Larini.

Anyone know how they compare to the popular ones (Alta, Mangaflow, Borla)?

Am considering the Larini Club Sport here: http://miniworks.com/laclspsy.html

Another NAM'er posted the uTube link for sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHgw8...=mini%20cooper

Thanks!

I have it

I like it very much, not too loud but not too quiet. It is also much lighter than the stock setup. I got mine from Mini WOrks. I am very happy with it.

looks like you would have to drill for those mounting straps? or did they use the factory mounting points?

no

It was a complete bolt on. No welding or drilling.

Could you post some pictures of your Larini? I believe that many people would love to see it. Thanks!

When I was shopping for a catback, Larini was on the list. I really like the look of it. But I went for the Milltek because of its generally good feedbacks.

I would get pulled over if I drove my car at 5K all the time like the guy in the video! Borla Race is LOUD in comparison!

I want to get rid of my Magnaflow and get a Larini because I have the header with Head and cam, my car became very loud with these mods. I have the Larini header and I really like performance of it and the looks is like a piece of art. Once my Magnaflow sells I will get a Larini exhaust, this is my first choice.

From the pics on the site, it looks a lot like my Invidia. Comparable exhaust note from inside the car as well.

Does anyone know of any flow or performance data related to the Larini exhaust? It seems whenever folks talk about it they say how pretty it sounds but does it work better than stock, if so how does it compare to the other options out there?

Thanks!

Flow

I can say based on the design it flow's better than the stock. I seriously question the amount of HP that one can get from a cat back exhaust for our mini. The best I have seen is 9hp or so and I even question that. I think that a "performance" exhaust will help compliment other basic mods such as a pully and CAI. I was really looking for looks and a better sound. You will not find an exhaust that will give you a huge improvement over stock.

Finally!!!

After a LONG wait, Jake's Larini Club Sport cat-back is installed. Wow! It's pretty much my favorite mod. The sound/feel are awesome. Don't know how much HP was gained. Likely a bit but I did my 15% pulley first and then my Alta CAI with the Larini being last.

Here's a phone cam pic of what it looks like from underneath.
