thats true!

I forgot one time we sprayed the intake with nitrous and made 333 hp to the wheels... it was a little lean though... we could have compensated but we were just skrewing around while we were at the dyno... we were trying to see what kind of abuse the car could take (no it wasn't a customers car)

We had a Dinan car on the Dyno yesterday and I was less than impressed It had all the goodies that Dinan offers. 172.4 whp 146.4 WTQ (the best run) Temp: 74*f Humidity:37% We didn't hook up the A/F should have though, around 6000 it was pulling timing hard.

Update: I uploaded my MTH file the other night and the car feels extremely strong! The TQ is simply amazing and hurts my neck after a while No doubt the stongest mod since the pulley.

I have been very busy the last couple days, I bought a truck and I am moving into a new apartment. I will be going on the Dyno hopefully on Sat. and I will post my delta's for sure -- Johan

I've been really busy with work. My schedule is pretty crazy with not a lot of time home. I still am waiting for another tune. As you will notice something's not right. Has anyone seen A/F like this before?

Is A/F before the MTH and head or just the head added?

That's sick. I've never seen any AF clime that much in 500rpms. Looks normal till 5.5. What throws the wrench in the graph is the HP & TQ. That would say the AF is wrong after 5.5. No way it should go that rich that fast without seeing something in the other #s.
Any ideas? All you did is put the new head on?

sorry; back on track . from reading all the forums all the time (no life) i'd say stay below 5500 till it's sorted. that's a weird spike . is it the same on all the runs you did?

This was after the initial MTH tune. I'm not sure if they had to shim the springs. I will ask the shop next time I'm in. Yea I'm not really sure what's going on with the A/F. It's kinda scary cruising around and hitting 1200 f egt's....MTH is working on a solution which I hope to get soon.

Right...I've been driving my truck lately...I could always load the old MTH tune, but just haven't done so. I did take it out to a closed course to race my co-workers modded lightning. He still get's me in the straights, but not much...Overall I am really impressed and my mini is at another level of fun.

If the install height & presure is correct you shoulden't need shims. Are you thinking float is a problem? If so that would also show up on the graph. Float, shims & what ever does not explane the spike or the high EGT.

At what RPM is the EGT 1200? That's only 50 short of where we ran our shifer full lean ( for short periods of time ), a lot too high for a DD. The graph says, AF, should be very safe at cruse. Anything up to 12 should be good to go. That would be a yes vote for the old MTH tune IMHO.
Keep us posted.

I don't know it says actual HP. I seriously dont know though...I get confused with all this dyno stuff.

My mini is soo much fun to drive...The TQ is a trip for sure. I do get TQ steer from the LSD shifting power from one side to the other...I really need to hold onto the wheel when I accelerate fast or it will throw out of my hand I wonder what would happen if I added a m62 kit I would like to spend some time at VIR this summer.

Thanks
