I've narrowed it to 3

I recently bought a 2002 MCS with 25k miles on it and i plan on modifying it right from the get go. I've already thrown in an Ultrik cold air but now im looking towards the exhaust and ive narrowed it down to just three

first the milltek, because it seems so popular and everyone seems so pleased with it, it has to be on my list. but in all honestly it just doesnt sound aggressive enough for me, dont get me wrong i love the deep rumble euro sound, but it just doesnt do it for me..

next the UUC, i dont see many forum members with these and i absolutely love the deep roar that this system creates, i have a friend with a BMW 3-Series with a UUC Corsa catback and its got such a nice deep roar.

lastly, the M7 cat-back with all the hype and good things i hear about it, i just get locked on it. ive only heard good things about M7's product line and the tone of this system is more then good enough, i know that this system is very rare and can be very expensive but i can get my hands on one if i need to.

any help would be great, and if anyone has personal experience with anything except the milltek, id love to hear it

As noted above, the m7 is not currenty available. I've also read posts from others claiming that UUC stopped making theirs too. So, that leaves you with the Milltek, which is probably the most popular system available for the MCS.

If you like the roar of an exhaust you might want to check out the Magnaflow for the MINI. Its a typical Wide Open exhaust and isn't as well thought out as many of the others. But its just loud with a growl.

Also not on your list, Larini. I can't reccomend anyone to purchase from in the USA, but if you can find a distributor that fits your needs, it's a great sounding exhaust....the guy that installed mine won't fix the rattle... Not ricey at all, nice seat of pants dyno gain. (follow the link in my sig to check it out)

From what I got out of the whole thing, was...it's Powertone's exhaust, and they worked with M7, thus M7 selling it for a cheaper price and labeling it as an M7 part. M7 did not sell enough products, so they pulled it from there line. You can still buy the same exhaust through Powertone (because it's their exhaust). www.powertone.com but it's $1,000 instead of M7's $730!

Cody your wrong....

We sold plenty, but the cost of the system was incredibly high, we had to pay for boxes as the manufacturer did not wan't to pony up cash for a run of custom boxes. And finally we had to pull the plug, as it cost more to get the systems out to the market place, then we were able to make.

i dont know if im suprised or not about UUC not selling their MINI exhaust, they are just asking too much

that was on my short list too, if only they sold theirs at about 650 i'd pick one up in a heartbeat!

Peter - you better put me close to the top of the list when M7 comes out with their exhaust!

At what point does a MINI qualify as a M7 junkie? My wife says I qualify.

I have a Magnaflow with an OBX header and I can assure you it does in no way ever sound ricey. I have had several compliments from people who just hear it drive by. Check it out here at hottexhaust.com At checkout use the coupon code "fordtruck8" and the price goes down to $600.55 shipped.

that exhaust sounds loud and abnoxious.....the loud exhaust ticket here in cali are 125 and not worth the trouble for some loud noise.

Bottom line....buy milltek.....unless you live in an area where is kind of noise is welcomed by the local authories.
