Another 15%-er here!

I just could not wait to post about my 15% pulley install. Luis at Precision Autowerks in Miami did it for me last Thursday. Even in pretty bad traffic, I smiled the whole way home after the install. It makes an incredible difference, like the car had its morning coffee!

The best is around 4K RPM. If I floor it then, the car HOWLS and feels like it's taking off like a rocket! I love this! I feel like I have a secret jet engine MINI that no one knows about until I hit the gas.

Luis is a great mechanic. Clean install, excellent in every way. I knew I was in the right shop when I walked in and saw MINI posters & parts on the walls!

Thanks!

Once you start w/ the mods you won't stop.

Do you have different intake? You will hear the "rocket " all the more.

Have fun

I blame you for making me LoL at work and getting my bosses attention that I was not working...

As for the pully. I installed an alta 15%/Alta CAI/and Denso IK-22's myself this last weekend. Installing it was just about as fun as driving the car after I was done. The car really is a hoot and the scream the sc makes now is just plain intoxicating. My foot regulated gas gauge however shows lower then normal gas milage. Maybe something I'm going to have to look into fixing.

happy motoring.

Depends on the vendor..

$300 to $500. Some put in plugs and a new belt.

Whooo! I can't wait! I'm putting in my M7 16% pulley on Sunday thanks to Draggonmann.

I've had my MINI for 4 months now...and it's just not fast anymore. It lost it's "feeling" imo. Perfect time to up the power!

He is located right off the Palmetto on NW 25th Street. He charged me I think $200 or $210 to install my 19% pulley and Denso IK-22's. BTW, he didn't up the price for the spark plugs. So my grand total was $400 for the pulley, the belt, 6 spark plugs, and the install. Not bad...

Congrats Kentiki

I've had my 15% Alta on for over 50,000 miles. To me this is the greatest mod one can make to the MCS. No better yet, this is the one mod that MINI should have made to all MCS vehicles as a factory upgrade.

It's part of the JCW kit.

Hey Cody, does your dad know you are doing such an evil thing?

I'm putting a 15% on Saturday with a friends help. If you don't tell my dad I won't tell yours.

Or until they drive the car.. or you get pulled over for speeding, err spirited driving.. lol..

Both happened to me, but my dad found out by driving the car. He came back inside and asked me what I did. So I told him and asked if he liked it, he said "that's how it should've come from the factory."

Um.....no......he doesn't. And let's keep it that way. Good luck on your pulley install!

I'm alright because no one drives my car but me. And even if they drove it...they wouldn't "get on it" enough to even feel the difference, and even then they still wouldn't know I did something.

Tues and Wed this week I had the car in someone else's garage, so that my wife's MCC could be in our garage in case of hurricane. So I was goin nuts not being able to run further "tests" on the new pulley. That and I got sick!

And yes, a 2nd job for mods, or some such income source, is needed. Next in line is an exhaust.

Matt if we could just get a JCW pully we would never have to worry about the warranty.

Now all you need is an Alto cold air intake, "give her some air" then it will go. See www.waymotorworks.com they are great!!! Tell Waylan that the blue MCS at Mini in the mountains sent you!!!
