I am interested in trying to figure out what the best method to go would be. The dinan software, or the unichip. Inquiring minds want to know.

 

It seems that the more modifications you have the more a Unichip can do for you, BUT, the less one of their canned ECU maps will likely fit for you. I bought a Unichip about a month ago and have had it remapped twice with canned maps from Unichip and neither of them work for me because of the type and number of modifications I have (not to mention my MINI ).

Well, the Unichip easily has the goods to be massaged into bettering any modification, BUT, you will have to find a Custom Tuner with a dyno and expertise to form a custom map for your car.

If your mods are fairly generic thern there will likely be a canned map that will work well for your car.

Unichip is WAY better than the other choices, as long as you get it mapped for your car. Otherwise it becomes an expensive door stop - like mine has become until I get up to the Bay area in Calif. where there is a cutom Unichip tuner. Hopefully next month.
