They are Alta boots. The little one was a pain to get onto the DFIC. There is a lip that you have to stretch the boot over. Getting that on took the most time during install.

Sorry to be a bug here but I have a couple quickies... Is there any movement of the DFIC when the engine is revved? How hard is the install/what do you have to do? I'm also getting an M7 Oil Catch Can and I don't know how to install that either. Oh well.

Thanks!

With the Alta boots the intercooler doesn't move. The silicon boots are pretty stiff. I can't comment on the stock boots but you really don't need to worry about movement.

Install was simple and M7 gives you a CD with step by step instructions (i didn't need it). I buffed the straps and bolts that attach the DFIC to the bell horns (they go over the boots) and the whole install took 1 1/2 hours.

I'm going home to bend them straight tonight.

Peter told me something about this when I picked it up at his house. I was so excited about getting it, I don't remember what he said.

If it was a stickey *COUGH* people would probably see it, no?

Beautiful Mini and engines everyone....MISFITOY, is that a water sprayer that I see on front of your DFIC? If so, how good does that work? Can you tell a difference when spraying?

Thank you. I am a long way from having the coolness of MISFITOY. Here I was loving my photos then MSFTOY had to post his coolness and shut me down. That *******! Just kidding. I love his car.

I took them myself not having a clue as to what I was doing. You have to love a digital camera.
