AGS V.3 intake Anyone have installed?

How many have the AGS V.3 installed on there MCS? I just wanted to know how everyone likes this system? And if anyone has just the reduction pulley and exhaust done with this intake, how did it change the feel of everything? And also hows the sound. Hope to get peoples feedback. Thanks guys Spike

I am very pleased with mine. The throttle response is better and the car seems to accelerate more smoothly. I removed an Alta intake and tube to install this so it's hard to tell if there is a difference in power, but I have been driving around in 100+ temperatures and I don't feel like I have less power. There is a lot less S/C whine in the passenger compartment and you can't hear the whistle anymore at part throttle and I still have the firewall panel removed. The sound you do hear is different and very pleasing, but it's hard to describe. There is also a lot more room in the engine compartment. I definitely feel this is a great mod. and I would definitely recommend it if you haven't done another intake first; even if you have, I still think it is a winner.

I was thinking about getting one as well but I would like to see some numbers from a dyno before I drop $900 bones. How much whp does it increase vs stock? I can't seem to find numbers (I probably just can't search right )

First off you don't have to spend $900 to get this.

The AGS with heat sheild starts at $469 and jumps to $819 should you decide to get it with the enlarged TB.

I have been through the prototype, and V2 and love every part of it.

I currently have v3 sitting in my garage and will install it as soon as I get the MINI back after Christmas.

The throttle response is better and the sound is unreal.
I currently have a 15% pulley, the DFIC and the AGS.

anyway.... my 2 cents

If you are getting rid of the V2, let me know. I might know somebody who might be interested in getting one. I just installed mine. Thanks.

+1 ... Add me to the list. I love the M7 AGS v3 and I am glad I went that way. the install is hard, but worth every bit. The sound is amazing, yet not loud on the inside. I believe M7 has a download on their site with the sound clip... the sound you hear is 99.9% AGS... the rest is exhaust

V.3

AGS is the best sounding intake. Nothing more need to be said.

I am not interested in the filter or cover for the filter. If you have the other extensions (tubes and cable for TB) with the AGS body, I am interested.

I would only have the tube available and a used filter that has some small issues I f you are still interested we can talk after the first of the year. The MINI has been living at a tuning shop as a test bench since October and I get it back on the 28th....
I plan on driving it like hell for at least a week (I really miss my baby and the sound of the AGS!) and then tearing into her for all the mods that have been piling up in my garage... The new m7 coilovers are on the fed-ex truck/plane as we speak and will go on next week...

sorry for the thread hijack by the way.....

Get an AGS while you can!!!!!!

Hey bob! How are you these days? Haven't talked in awhile. I am missing my MINI more each day, its kind of weird but then again maybe not....

Went and got myself a new Subaru Outback to tide me over (yeah I know they are no where near the same.... but better than the pickup!)

Dave has been playing with her quite a bit. Give me a ring sometime when you are bored....
