I think that post refers to an "abnormal" observation, rather than anything commonly seen--if it was then more NAMers would have posted about it, especially given the temperature differential reported.
While I *can't* put my hand no my IC inlet horn after any kind of driving (with my MPG and engine temperatures, am I the only one who drives my MINI hard? -- which by the way doesn't mean fast, or dangerously--I think that's why they coined the term "spirited driving,") I haven't seen any abnormal or excessively high temperatures after installing the VGS. Only smooth "spirited" acceleration at partial or full throttle!

cool. looks like i'll be spending ~$5 this weekend to do the VGS. choppy throttle response, especially when added to the motormount slack, make my car great to stomp on, but hard to drive smoothly at calm speeds.

hoping that the combination of VGS and the group buy motor brace will tame this.
