I think i just viewed something highly illegal. Dude what's up with your car, there's like a pause or something in between shifts. Good write up, and an awesome car. Are the tops out yet? I want one.

Agreed.........Now the box itself gets hot & stays that way. I tried ceramic coating & wasn't impressed with the outcome, but this works great, the do it yourself "ABPB" prototype (air box pizza bag) <no heat transfer for under $5....... ABPB stage 2 (add ice)Brrrrrrrrrr Pull out alta box with lower filter box bottom as a unit. Contour &trim insulation, clear tape to hold seams.Shove it all back in. Done deal The only shortcoming, IMO, is that the supercharger whine is slightly toned down.

namwob interesting idea with the pizza box added bits. Although the box top to allow for a better seal of the box so that area is sucked from the cooler cowl area rather then the engine compartment. Thus replacing the rubber strip along the top of the box.

I agree the lid may seal somewhat better, but its also an additional heatsink. The main thing it does is dress up the engine compartment.

i think...

that the alta looked much better without the top. It looked menacing with the bright coloured filter and the larger tube to the TB. to each there own though, good write up!
