whats up everybody. i saw somewhere (couildnt find it) where sombody had to mod their carbon fiber strut bar to fit. i have a clearence issue with my air box. any advise on how to clear the air box? ive tried some spacers. and maybe i have to trim them more but i would like to know how anybody here delt with this issue.

When I had that strut bar I simply cut a notch about 1" square out of my airbox. Also some of those carbon fiber bars come with a low-profile ecu cover to help in clearing that.

 

yeah. im going to have to rais the bar some..i cant really cut a notch out of the air box.

 

Be careful or you'll rasie it enough to dent the hood.
Which intake do you have?

 

oh yeah im being really carefull. im not going to dent the hood. i have the mymini intake.

 

Malcon I understand now why making a notch in your intake box is not preferred. Since the MyMINI and WMS HDI are both enclosed intakes a notch is not ideal like what can be done on the Alta, Pilo and many others that have an open top.

I am interested in how you make it fit Whether it be a few washers for spacers or what not.

 

im going to go over to Pete's shop and i think we are going to try and figure somthing out. anyway ill keep you guys posted.
