Is airflow the only reason someone would put an MCS bonnet on an MC? I mean...wouldn't people be "looked down on" if they had an MC and put an MCS bonnet on??

I actually like the MC hood better than the MCS one. It is a lot smoother without the scoop and I think it matches the lines of the MINI better. Try searching for some close up shots at a 45' angle (with stripes), it looks really good without the scoop.

I would sooooooo buy an MC if it had the supercharger.. too bad.. I hate the scoop.

I've always hoped that they could make a MCS without the scoop, but I guess it will only be a dream for now .

Get a water to air intercooler then you can get rid of the scoop. -- Johan

RAM air intake?

I think a few have done it.

I'd like to see an MC hood with a functional scoop, it would have that nice lower angle and lower drag coefficent (.01, but its a differance)

Too bad I don't have the money to do it, or else I would. lol

I wonder if the 140hp model of the nextgen MINI has a hoodscoop. If it's easily tunable to match an MCS (hopefully a JCW) and it doesn't have a scoop. I am soooooooooooooo getting that

For performance issues, I'd love to be able to fit an MC hood on my MCS.

Don't worry, I won't tell but mine will be a front mount IF I can arrange it.

Is it true that they are going to have three engine choices available for the Next MINI? 110hp, 140hp(turbo?), 170hp(turbo).

I'm getting the MCS hood install this weekend, I really think it looks better. Plus the fact that the hood on my mini allready has some scratches and chips from the freeway dirt (35784 mi and 5 states later) makes my decision easier.
