Bang for the Buck

hey Guys-

My mini is my daily driver, and I think that it is not worth it to put the SPI kit in, as it would wear out the engine that much faster. However, I so want to do some modifications to make it a little bit quicker, and since the JCW Kit is not that much better of a bargain, and neither is any of the MiniMania Stuff, (Thanks to you guys for letting me know that), I was thinking about one of those shark chips, and maybe a cold air intake, an alta exhaust, and a shorter pulley to start with. Are there any other parts you'd suggest that are reasonably priced and would make a NOTICEABLE difference? All help is appreciated, as always, thanks guys.

P.S. GO CAROLINA PANTHERS TODAY!!!

Most bang for the buck - level 1

1) pulley
2) 1-ball
3) stock filter replacement (like ITG)
Possible variation would be on the air intake - HAI or CAI instead of replacing the stock filter.

My opnion, no other combination will yield the ponies to dollar ratio. But its like potato chips, its hard to eat just one .

I'd say the best mods are :

Pulley
MTH software
Alta CAI
One-ball mod
and probably the most important, a well-adjusted supercharger by-pass valve!

Have a great time modifying your MINI!

15%, CAI, catback, ECU upgrade, colder plugs
somewhere around $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 a very nice driving car, not super fast, but within normal budget.

As ScuberiaMini said, you'll get a really nice improvment over a stock MCS, and won't get into engine problems.

I'd start with the 15% pulley and colder plugs for sure!
