ECU software upgrade

GIAC or MTH - or somthing else?
What is the current thinking?- Most of the posts I found with the search date back 2 years or so.

go to the MTH forum, I'm sure you'll find everything you want to know about it there, and that can probably help out your decision, I had the same problem, I found plenty of threads on here that swayed me toward MTH

You may want to call Randy or Peter at M7 about their new ECU upgrade. Call Eric at HELIX for info on the GIAC. Don't forget Randy at Webbmotorsports. He has a lot of options with all the different setups he has. Do your homework.

Randy's seem a little expensive. I flashed my old VW for 300 bux - about the same price as GIAC and MTH. Randy's options are over 2x that - worth it?

Whatever you go for, insist on seeing actual at-the-wheels dynos showing before and after the software, with no other changes ... like this:

I have the Unichip on my car and yes it's some what expensive. I have had it upgraded twice by Randy when I have changed or added equip. at no charge. All I can say is talk to everyone and make your up your own mind. There is alot of good ECU upgrades out there. Get what suites you best.

Compare that result to other real before-and-after dynos. Just remember, this ain't a 1.8T.
