SES Light - why would this happen

my SES light is now on and is reading as "cam sensor for intake cam". a little info on what has just happened to my car, i had a shop install an m7 pulley and do it incorrectly and i threw a belt because of it. i would not think, however, that the two issues would be related. what could be the cause of this? the car seems to be running fine, but hesitates at startup. any ideas?

Just a guess: timing of the car... probably fixable by just setting the timing properly..
