. It is possible to speak of the whole community in general within the confines of the drivetrain forum without it solely being about the drivetrain forum. Your logic is slipping a bit andy

Yes, the look and benefits of better springs would be amazing, I'm quite certain, but because my car is a daily driver, all year long, I'm stuck with the stock ride height. (UNLESS, someone can direct me to better springs that DON'T lower the overall ride height...)
Now, one thing I can do, which won't affect ride height, is a new rear swaybar. That might go higher up on my list of mods...

I know, I know...
A half inch lowering sounds like practically nothing to 90% of NAM members, I'm sure. But driving in the winter up here in the lake-effect snow belts is a big concern for a MINI. Not for traction, mind you, (provided you're using snow tires), but for ground clearance. I feel every 4-inch or larger ice chunk that falls off the car in front of me hit my lower air dam. Most times, it is slushy enough to just disintegrate. But sometimes, on those 3-below-zero days, hitting one is like hitting a bowling ball.
I am amazed at how tough the front air dam is, as I've come close to forcibly removing it with these ice chunks.
So, no, lowering the car even a seemingly insignificant half inch is out of the question for me.
Oh well, some parts of the country suffer from earthquakes, wildfires, tornados and hurricanes. I get lots of snow, and that's allright by me. I'll just have to suffer with the stock ride height for now.

The numbers....
They said it was very hot and humid which has a great effect on our beloved 1.6 liter Mini's. That should be in consideration when u look at the numbers for all of the cars especially the MM Car.
