HAI in heavy rain

Just wondered how much experience folks with the HAI have motoring in heavy rain? I have to drive up 95 tomorrow to Helix, and it is supposed to pour (1-4 inches). In light to moderate rain, it seems as if only the bottom of the TB gets a bit wet. One other time on 95, though, the clouds opened up and the amount water sprayed up by the other cars is tremendous in addition to the rain, and I pulled over until it passed (other cars were stopped as well; it was a really hard rain).

I just worry about some splashes big enough to douse the HAI and enter the engine -- anyone recommend putting the stock airbox on for the trip?

I know the AGS is different from the HAI, but ive never had a problem with my car sucking in water. Although i avoid big puddles, even if the AGS wasnt on there.
