It's nice to see how El Diablito's car has progressed since he "left" the site.

It looks great!

BTW, since it's a FWD drag car, it makes sense to relocate the battery from the trunk to the front for better weight on the front wheels.
Thanks I wasn't visualizing that at all.

Re: the battery & location... I was thinking it might be there for traction, but it seems like such a small amount of weight. I guess every little bit helps. ...Now all I want to know is where the ECU's been moved to. I'm guessing its somwhere in the cabin next to a laptop.

If one is willing to give up headlights it seems pretty straight forward one intercooler in the left socket and/or one in the right socket. Just busting stones, Andy.

Seriously, wouldn't a water/intercooler be more effective? as well as easier to plumb? This would be quite a project for enhancing a street car.

Good luck - look forward to hear how it goes.

Without an actual FIMC vs. TMIC test we can't know which works better. It seems obvious that locating a much larger core out in front of the car will provide more surface area (to cool the intake charge) and a source of cold air. It would also negate much of the heat-soak effect.

Issues would be what's lost due to routing (boost) and any lag-effect due to the larger volume/column of air being pushed along. The supercharger's fixed displacement remains unchanged, but here we've now provided it with a MUCH larger 'straw' to push air through. On a straight supercharged engine I'm guessing torque loss at lower rpm - similar effect to what a few of the less restrictive CAI's have shown.

BTW I don't think anyone here was considering undertaking this mod... just fleshing out an idea. Andy?

You're right, my bad. El's car is further down on the blog.
