I was wondering who out there is using nitrous on the MCS. I do have a kit sitting in the garage. It is a TNT wet kit. What size jet do you guys use? what is safe? what are the gains to be expected? I am very tempted to install the kit. It is just sitting there.

Have a 19%. Running 400cc injectors and 50 shot without any leaning out. Waiting for delivery of my 440's so I can move to the 75 shot. Other folks will chime in. Not sure how small a jet to use if you have stock injectors. You don't have listed any bigger injectors on your sig. Do you have the 380cc or bigger?

The installation isn't difficult...it's a little messy with all the wiring/plumbing involved but well worth it The WI is working great...haven't tried the N2O with it yet.

I think you're pretty safe. Peter at M7 only recommended the 400 when running the "black" jet which I think is closer to 80hp (correct me if I'm wrong). How does it feel? Like a rocket was lit behind the Mini...a very firm constant push. The torque is amazing. I don't do drag start but I do troll at 72mph. With full 1000psi pressure at this speed in fourth, Msfit can out accelerate 06 GTOs, 06 Mustang GTs with ease ..

Hi everyone.....

Our nitrous kit comes with 4 different nitrous valves (red, green, blue, purple)
If you would use the purple valve on a car without pulley, the 400cc injectors
are not neccessary but if you have 15%-19% pulley our 400cc injectors
are mandatory as the HP will be in the 75-80 hp range.

The Black injector works great with 15%-16% pulley + 400cc injectors
and will give you close to 100+ HP depending on what you have done to the car IE. head, cai, TB etc.

I used the Black valve on my car for over 2 years without any problem.
With that said I use Tolulene as a octane enhancer 12to 1 mix ratio
or use high octane 97-100 for lower combustion chamber temps.

The M7/Venom system is the safest N2O system on the market as it is
fully computer controled. The sytem is also MINI specific giving no
guesswork when you install the system.

so Peter what is the story with installing this kit myself????
would this affect the warranty of the NOS kit??
also can this kit be used with stock injectors and 15% pulley??
or will I have to get the larger injectors??

LOL...are you kidding? Seriously, as long as you're not going in to fix a hole in your piston, they'll change your oil. No really...the dealer can't deny warranty work if they can't prove your modifications caused the breakage.

I think the kit's warranty is good as long as it's installed properly...whether it's you or a mechanic. Most, if not all of these types of kits were designed to be DYIs. No?

Ehhh in a way, yes we can.......If we know theres performance mods done to a car your not covered but that doesnt mean you lost it all together. The only way your warranty will be voided is when the rep sez it is due to abusive driving or added race components. You have to remember, Mini or any dealer doesnt have to prove anything....they own the warranty and can drop you like a school gurls skirt in gym class at any second. And trust me....ive seen it done with just a guy driving his car like a moron and having a factory rep catch him on the road following him.

It said that its easy to lose ur warranty but dont think its gonna happen to you.....The dealership is making money on warranty work and say you need a motor and knowing most customers arent gonna pay for that themselves will most likely cover you anyway than lose the job altogether. dont hold me on that , but ive seen it done b4. just dont go into your dealer with the kit hooked up is all im sayin.

I've had a Service Manager deny an obvious materials flaw two days after I drove the car off the lot. No time to mod a thing. Only when I threatened to sue did SHE back down. Some will do anything they think they can get away with.

An oil change is not covered under your warranty....if you still have it, it would be in your maintance program and yes.....you act like a fool in the parking lot and we see it.....you get nothing from us. your still intitled for your maintance which i never seen anyone lose but the dealer can deny you of anything they like.....its there company.

Ok...let's not be driving like an idiot. How about this, I take my Mini in during lunch to be looked at because my sunroof stopped working. I show up in a three piece suit, my Mini is spotless but is obviously modded like a space shuttle...which is not hard to believe from my sig LOL. Can they still deny service for my sunroof? Just curious:smile:

NO. The law states.....Any factory warranty has to be honored as long as the part in Q is not in conjuction with the aftermarket mods you have done...I.E your SC pulley wont stop them from warranting your sunroof problem. But that also doesnt mean that paticular dealership you went to has to do anything if there that arigant and want a bad CSI report and BMW/Mini getting on there ***.

The install is fairly complex, if you are intimidated by elecrical systems, threading holes in intake manifolds etc. I would have an specialist do the job.
But if you are comfortable with the above statement you will have no problems with the install.

The one year warranty will be available even if you install the kit your self.
As I stated before, larger injectors would be mandatory with a 15% pulley.
With that said, if you use the smaler (red, blu or green) valves, larger injectors are not needed...
