Hello all,

I recently purchased a used Minimania Header with No Cat from someone on ebay and at the same time purchased a new Invidia exhaust. Now, when I drive my car, it's seems really loud. I have to keep my revs under 3000 RPM in city driving to keep the noise down. Over 3000 RPM and it get insanely loud.

Well, my question is does anyone else here use this header w/aftermarket exhaust for daily driving? How do you bear the sound or avoid police? Is it possible to weld on a cat? If so, what cat did you get? I don't feel like cutting up my stock cat in case in the future I'm gonna sell my car so I can sway the stock header back in. The performance gain is really noticeable though during hwy runs. Thanks in advance.

 

Got indigo blue 03 mcs alta air box , alta water sprayer ,pilo coil, ect. . mania header to Alta sport tone no cat , tolerable volume till you get on it . I have pre post about same ? check out some of the replys I got re: cats . I'm still looking for solution. Good Luck

 

I'm going with a Magnaflow exhaust, but two on e-bay cought my eye.
one was cylindrical with a metal matrix, and one was $6! Shipping (at $15) was more.....

Or use a resonator in line... find yourself a good exhaust man, and let him know what you want out of your exhaust. Cut and weld......

I'm going OBX header, magnaflow cat, 2.5" single pipe, and some muffler to be decided tomorrow, and maybe a resonator, if it's too loud.
