Drivetrain Hartge 200bhp
I am not sure if this has already been put to your attention but I have found an article in a British magazine about a company called Hartge. They have developed a kit to take the Cooper S up to 200 bhp and 250Nm of torque. It costs £1,761. I am not sure what that is in dollars for all you lot state side. They plan to sell brake up grades and suspesion packages next year. It can come with cosmetic modifications but the one pictured in the magazine only has the exhausts removed from the centre and 4 added, 2 at each side. I think it has a similar exhaust set-up as the new M3. The article states that the sound of this new exhaust is very very loud.
I've contacted Hermann Hartge and tried to become a dealer for their performance kit. It is unavailable in the U.S. while it is remapped to run with our fuel, according to Hartge. Also, Dazz Motorsport, in California, is the only Hartge dealer in the U.S. The guy I spoke to at Dazz didn't know anything about it the first time I called. Later I was told that they would sell, but not install, the kits. I told Dazz I'd install them in the Chicago area and I'm still waiting to see what happens.
