LOL... a much less controversial subject.

Go over to www.honda-acura.net and start a thread about Larry and watch the fireworks ensue.

And to whoever did it last time - feel free to run back over to his board and tell him I'm over here starting trouble again. While you're there ask him when his b-series supercharger kit's coming out for me

Any idea on the price of these options for head work?
Any dyno numbers?

Glad to see I am not the only one care less about the AGS. Now these are something of interest after the usual pulley and ECU mod.

You guys are lucky to be living somewhere close by.

If I even thought of getting this done.. it would cost alot

That would add alot of horses to my stable

the headwork is around 1400, the blower is 800 (more or less.)

he is supposed to be assembling my shortblock this week with the pistons, rods, and just as important, precision crank and piston fitting. (i don't havre a price for that yet.)

I think he was refering to the bickering going on in at least 2 other threads (probably more like 5) as BS - not M7 or their products.

I got to see his pistons several months ago, they are sweet. Larry's shop is really cool. Laid out very nicely too. His dyno room is just awesome.

I believe there are several Endyn heads out there on this site, me included. In fact the pics on his site are my head, runners, intake manifold, and blower. He didn't mention a camshaft, but it is in final R&D as well. I sent him my schrick so he could do some measurements for comparison and he told me his cam will be out soon. I also got to see the cam/hold it as well, so it is real.

I haven't dyno'd this kit yet, I might get it done tomorrow or in May.

Larry does all the work himself. It is just two of them in the shop, so don't look for quick turnaround.

am i the only one that noticed the text on that first picture that said "1.5ltr MINI Engine". i don't know about the rest of you, but i've got a 1.6ltr. i don't think i could trust someone who can't even get the displacement of the engines correct.

As for pricing on ENDYN MINI work, it depends. As of February, a torque-tuned head was $1,050 plus $14.50 per oversized valve. A modified supercharger was $850, which includes the internal case coating, coating the lobes is $200 extra and swapping pulleys at the same time is extra also. It is highly recommended to have the intake manifold matched to the head $150 and the gasket port matched $35. The intake manifold work is not the same as extrude hone polishing.

As for trust, a typing error is not indicative of anything other than a typing error.

Just out of curiosity... what's the turnaround time from him lately?

Not trying to be critical (really), but if you should always research this since quite a few engine builders consistently take 6-12 months to finish work. Just for comparison, I've heard plenty of nightmare stories about long wait times with DPR, but Pilo assures me that their agreement with them will get the head returned in a matter of weeks.

In my experience, an organized shop can still give accurate estimates even if they're booked months in advance. Unfortunately, organized and engine builder doesn't always go together.

What I would really love is to get some of the different heads together for a comparison. It wouldn't have to be done at the same time, as long as the testing was consistent. I would actually offer to pay shipping both ways and flowbench time if people were willing to ship their heads to me. I have someone I trust to do the testing - a head-person, but not someone who works with minis.

Def. looks nice, I'd love to get all that done someday.

You know though Jlm that the AGS would be the perfect intake to complete this set up.

Honestly though, what do you think? Where is the bottleneck after getting this port job done?

Yep. There are Webb flow numbers on metroplexmini.org so why not make it the "CHS vs DPR vs Cosworth vs Endyn vs Madness vs Stock Flame War 2005" If I ever get my Endyn flow numbers I would be happy.

I'm thinking of doing a top and bottom end upgrade all at once but I don't seem to find a full kit out there or atleast a few combinations...

Am I missing something?
