Your impressions on a your Alta Exhaust?

I did a search and couldnt find any personal reviews of the ALTA Exhaust. I plan on getting it this summer and I wanted to hear a personal review.

I plan on going all Alta Performance parts due to the fact that my friend with a suped up WRX swears by them (They are called Perrin for subys).

So if someone could..that would be great. Thanks.

I noticed its technically 1 muffler and not a dual?

Is this for the S? If so the only complaint I have ever heard about this exhaust is the fact that one of the tips will get hotter than the other. This is caused by the different paths the exhaust gas takes. One path is shorter and more direct than the other. This will cause one of the tips to "discolor". I have heard of some owners that have actually taken a torch to the tips to try and match the colors.

Otherwise I would highly recommend it.

Just because your friend swears by them does not make them the answer to your exhaust needs. I highly reccomend the invidia exhaust.

The O.E. exhaust is a single muffler too. The other "muffler" is not a muffler. I'm totally blanking on what it's called, but it's not a true dual exhaust.
Resonator???

Alta exhaust

I had the Alta exhaust, loved it, great power and not a overly obnoxious tone.
Like I said, "had", decided I wanted a bit more and went to the Borla Sport...a little more power but LOUD...

Yep.....it's a resonator. It's removed when doing the "one-ball" mod.
