Does anyone know where I can find a sound clip of the non-S milltek? I've searched all over NAM and Mini2 and can't find anything. I just can't buy something I haven't heard

So, we've been working on this about a week, you CAN hear the difference between a stock S muffler and a Miltek S muffler, Randy tells you that the difference (tone) with the Cooper is similar to the difference with the S, you are the fourth to say you're committed to buying one, and NOW you decide that you can't buy it without hearing it?

He said its different from the S but keeps the milltek sound. What is the milltek sound? That's what I'm trying to find out. I have not been given a price so how can I commit to buy?

Please take me off this list. Have had two flats this week which have cut into my modding budget. All these roofers are here because of the hurricane, so now there are millions of nails on the road. I'm sorry for any inconvience this has caused.

Miltek Group Buy List Is Open, Again

We are two shy of the 15 we need for the $95+ discount. Randy will be posting a confirmation of all those from whom he has received faxes.

First come, first served for these last two places. Fax Randy as per instructions in my first post. Thanks to all of you who have honored your commitment to the group.

Did any of you who are asking to be scratched off the list already fax me?

I have 12 faxes, and I have already committed and paid for the systems. I would appreciate a little help here!

Thanks,
Randy

Normally, the Cooper system is $550, but I can get it to you for a "group buy" price at $450.

The sound is not any noisier than stock, but deeper sounding. I hope that helps!

Randy

OOps, your dropping out DOES affect the group buy, as does the dropping out of the OTHERS who COMMITTED to the group buy, hence convinced Randy that there was enough interest for him to go ahead and spend HIS money to buy enough units for us. If we don't have 15, he'll be stuck with the extras, if he doesn't feel he can give us the $100 discount but only the $75 for five or more, then others may drop out and he'll be stuck with even more stock. Nineteen people committed to the buy before Randy went ahead with his purchase. YOU were number two.

The way I look at it, you, and the others who reneged on your commitments, owe each of those who didn't $25 bucks, a piece. So, 12 X $25 = $300. $300 divided by 7 = $42.85. Do you want to send it to me or directly to Randy?

There should be a registry of those people banned from posting to any group buys.

I want the system, regardless of price. Already e-mailed Randy. Just waiting for verification of receipt of information.

Okay, fine.

For one, this is the first time I had to back out of such a commitment, so give me a break. Two, there appears to be more people interested than there are units in the lot purchased, I took into consideration that someone will be available to fill in my spot before I unfortunately had to back out Had there not been I would have stayed on even though it would have been a hardship for me. And third, suggesting I be banned from all group buys because of this only hurts the community as a whole. Why? Say there is a group of 10 needed to put forth a buy but only 9 people so far have signed on and the deadline is approaching. Even if it is something I am willing to buy, my only contribution would be to flip the bird to the whole deal. Your loss, not mine.

You wont have to worry about me in any future group buys that you are going to set up. I wont even consider them even if it's something I am in the market for.

Hey Randy,

I'm still in even if you have to adjust the price to compensate for the problems caused by last minute drop outs. Actually I think your catalog price for the system is fair and I do appreciate what you've done for the members of NAM. See you @ MINI vacation!..............................mgg

Sounds great, Randy. I'll buy on Friday. Mind if I email you my information as I do not have access to a fax or should I just call you? Once I get it installed I'll put some real sound clips of it up so everyone can hear.

Obviously your assumptions were wrong, you bailed after being told we hadn't filled the 15 slots and we (really Randy) are left holding the bag. Nobody is stepping up to fill your place and I'm calling around to everyone I know with a MINI to see if I can make up the spots. And I will never try to set up a group buy in the future and I doubt that Randy will, either. Your loss, as you don't get a discount. I'm already losing, based on you, do you think I'm making money on this deal? I'm only getting the same discount you'd have gotten. I wouldn't offer you a spot in a future buy (of which there will be none arranged by me) even if you showed up with cash.

You have to FAX him, that's how he segregates the group buys. Go to Kinkos or a similar business to access a fax.

Randy needs you to FAX him the info, he segregates the group buy by getting the faxes and he gets so much e-mail that it's too difficult to sort through. There must be a Kinkos or similar place where you can access a fax. Call Randy and check to see if he'll take the info by phone but I don't think so.

See my response to Great bear: You may not have faxed anything but you were counted on to fill one of the fifteen slots when Randy made his order.

Hey guys - don't worry if you had to drop out. I appreciate what Lefty has gone through, and understand his frustration.
I understand things come up. I have the following firm orders:

tsukiji
spirit16
fs-mini
Monike
dotBob
LeftyS7
gomezmgg
sma'kine
dinile
Howard H. - not sure what the screen name is
Venti Due

You can see we are well short of the 15, but again, I understand things happen. I will still honor the price, and everyone will get the full discount. I want NAM to be a happy place!

Let me know if you want in and don't see your name.

Thanks,
Randy
