R53 headers swap, wrap/spray

Anybody have experience with performance headers that can offer some advice?

Currently rocking an Invidia N1 resonated catback but I need to replace my catalytic converter so figured I'd mod the headers too. I'm looking at the Racing Dynamics manifold/sports cat ($600) or the Malian option ($310). I'm not looking for crazy loud but I like it decently loud so that's not a concern. I'm hoping the resonated catback and the sports cat will help clean up the raw sound of the racing headers and make it sound clean. Would one package be better for my setup?

Here's a video I found of the RD headers with a Milltek non-res (I like the sound, hoping an Invidia flavor will sound even better):

Things I've heard about the two are: The stainless steel headers are loud/drone in the cab, heat wraps or ceramic coating are worth the money. Would you recommend wrapping, ceramic coating, or neither? Do I need to have somebody wrap/coat the headers I buy or can I do it on my own?

Thanks for your help,
The Real Cooper S

I have an x-force header on my car and recently had it ceramic coated and topped it off with DEI titanium wrap in an attempt to lower IATs on track. It has lowered my IAT's significantly and is well worth it.

My preference is to wrap the header. My experience with ceramic coated headers (not on my car) left me unimpressed with supposed cooler underhood temperatures.

You can buy a spray on heat coating and then wrap the header if you want. Both are definitely DIY jobs.
