I currently have the Unichip but am wondering about other ECU reflashes etc. MTH, EVO, Powerchip, GIAC, etc. Has anyone evaluated the different solutions and come up with anything definitive?

 

What are you looking for? The UNIchip is the only one that has the potential for on-dyno custom tuning, specifically for your vehicle.

Whatever you do - stay away from Powerchip, they SUCK for customer service. (they threatened to sue me because I didn't like their product, ha!)

 

The problem I am having is there is no Unichip dealer/tuner in Atlanta so I can't take advantage of that feature. The GIAC guys swear they are as smooth as can be while putting out similar gains. I am putting this off until the next release from BMW which should be very soon but as I am adding a high output head to the mix, I really would like to get the car as good as possible. I'll have the head in a few weeks. As an aside, I'm looking forward to the "Dragon."
