Transmission swap

Hi, all

I have a 2002 Mini R53 and want to upgrade to the post-facelift shorter ratio gearbox with an LSD. Will the post-facelift gearbox fit in a 2002 Mini Cooper s?

thanks for the advice

I’m fairly certain that it will. I think the boxes stayed the same, just the gear ratios changed.

Yes it's a direct bolt in as they use the same case.
I would go ahead and upgrade to a Quaife LSD while you're doing it as it will be easy to do and so much better than the stock LSD
