24" Supertrapp?

Anyone try a 22" or 24" Supertrapp? I searched and all installs seem to be the 17" model. It seems like it would fit if you cut the existing exhaust pipe back to the straight section and redo the bend just so.

Contact Cape Cod MINI (CCM on NAM, Cape Cod MINI on MINI2) ... he posted this on MINI2:

... I didn't like the volume of the SuperTrapp so took it off yesterday and reinstalled the stock system ...
... I knew it would be up there in the decible range but had no idea it would be so loud. Despite getting the 24" tube which is the "quiet" one I find it to be too much. That's OK though, I see it as another challenge/experiment that should be fun.

(maybe he still has the SuperTrapp and will give it to you)

At this year's Exhaust Shootout and MINIs on the Dragon, there was one guy with a dual Supertrapp setup. It was by far the loudest measuring of any MINI or Mini exhaust there, and to boot it sounded AWFUL , worse than even the One-Ball on decel. The owner didn't care, he just wanted something really loud.

$0.02,
Ryan

How bad does the one-ball sound? Was thinking of doing that mod.

I have the 24". It was a ***** to get it. No one stocks it. Summit lists it but after 10 weeks of empty promises I cancelled the order. Went straight to SuperTrapp and they custom made it in two days. They are a great company. Customer service is exceptional.
Anyway, I jury rigged it and ran it for a couple of days. Tuning it with the discs is an interesting and fun challenge. I realized that there was no way I could use it on a daily basis. WAY too loud and that took the enjoyment out of daily driving. I put the stock system back on. A couple of months later I one-balled the stock system and really like it.
This winter's project is to modify the exhaust so I can readily remove the one-ball and bolt the SuperTrapp on for track days.

Here is the Link to the Exhaust Shootout, my dB measurements, and the MP3 sound clips that Greatbear is hosting!

Side Note: The "one-ball" is a stock exhuast with the passenger silencer cut off. It might free up some top-end power, but sounds really bad from outside the car.
