X-Force header

I was wondering if anyone has any feed back on a X-Force 4-2-1 header?

When I went to the website I got a virus warning. I have a 4-2-1 with a 200 cell cat. Good power and with the JCW stock exhaust just right in the noise level for me. How much are they asking for the x-force?

I can get one for 160 shipped so the price is nice in my opinion. I assume you have a OBX?

IMO you cannot go wrong at that price. Finding donuts is the tricky part.

Yes I agree. Think i will pull the trigger and buy it. I at least know a few welders and have some Magnaflow cats i was going to install in the ML55. Good to hear you like your setup.

Post something after you have received it and checked it out.

I have a friend with a r53 that has a 17% pulley. As my R52 is heavier, I was not able to match his acceleration rate even with my cam/injectors/tune. With the header and high flow that is no longer the case.

Here is a good thread on high flow cats.

Yes, please post your impressions.
Most of the time, the biggest problem with the less expensive headers is how the flange mates and aligns with the head. So it will be interesting to see your results.

Will do. I was wondering if anyone may know how wide the gap is from the down pipe flange to the mid pipe flange when using the OBX header? Just trying to get a general base line on how much space I have to work with when I get the bridge pipe built.

I made up a high flow cat with flat flange on one back and the donut flange on the front of 13". Anything longer and you would have to cut the flange at the resonator and push it back farther. Have a OEM cat I found on ebay for $30 that will get a donut flange welded to. When inspection time comes around I will swap it out for the highflow. Did get 28 mpg on the way to the MOTD with the highflow. Considering I also have 450 injectors, that was a very nice surprise.

Bit of a resurect here, but keen to know what year you've got. The website says 04-06 for the header. I didn't know the exhaust design was changed from 02-03...

I did install it on a friends 03' JCW. Header fit very nicely and the port size on the header matched the larger ports found on the JCW head. Overall happy with the product (ordered another for my JCW). I ordered the header off Ebay and wanted to mention despite the photo they used the header does come with the matching flange, seal ring, springs and bolts so you can fab a joiner pipe or catalytic like I had done.

Any updates on the header? Any cracks or CEL?
