Got it ALL installed today (Race Version) along with my first oil change....

Yes, it does vibrate... between 850 - 1450 Rpm is the worst. Warm Idle is surprisingly smooth.. and no rearview mirror movement. I tell you, its not for everyone. But I don't mind it as much. by far out of all the race mounts I have put in my cars over the past years this one is the most apparent. (other cars not minis) Saabs, Nissans, etc.

When you first turn your mini on (cold start), it shoots up the cold idle, you will definitely feel it then! normal highway driving not a problem at all maybe 10-20% stiffer feel (on a vibration feeling scale) while traveling at a constant speed of over 2,000 rpm. Anything below 2k rpm 80% stiffer over OEM But I do love the response! down shifts and rev matching feel better since you can feel it (more controlled) I almost feel this will help me save my clutch a little by knowing more of where the engine idle is.

This is a great upgrade, Whether it's the sport mount or race version. My advice is probably the yellow one with the Black inserts in.
I may try that if this drives me crazy enough.

Tip: OEM mount removal, You have to chip away and cut the old one out. Work on both sides with a long screwdriver.. Cut A Way one side more so you can slip it out the other side.

Good review, thanks. I believe I'll be going with the yellow + inserts.

Installed a powerflex engine support bushing Ive had on my to-do list for the winter.

Im amazed how minimal the stock bushing is. I added a few more pictures on my site:

Thanks for posting the pics as it really shows the difference. We've found this to be one of the best bang for the buck mods on the new F56.
We keep them in stock and ready to ship

Looks like you you included the inserts? Would you do it that way again next time?

Heck yeah. There is a slight vibration but nothing bad by any means. On a scale of 1-10, the vibration is a 0.01

Do you have a manual or automatic because on my auto with the inserts I can't stand the vibrations they are so bad.

Good to know... I'm thinking that since the vibration is worst at idle, and the car shuts off at idle... it will rarely be much of an issue. Seems like a reason to go with the inserts.

Ive been in my car 4-5x since I installed the bushing and I cant even feel the vibration when Im at a red light anymore.

Im almost second guessing myself in not getting the black bushing. Im really curious about the amount of vibration is was supposed ot give.

If you decide to go with the race version, I'll be happy to take the yellow one off your hands.

I have the race version and would like to see the difference of the yellow one with inserts, let me know if you would like to swap, just to try out...

Wait! Now that I think about it probably not a good idea, we would have to ship, & wait bla bla bla its only $60-70 bucks I could just buy one (but that's kind of a waste). Anyhow just an idea. I have manual also.

My black (race) one did quieted down a bit from when I first installed it. It really only vibrates in first gear at a very low rev (RPM) you only feel it for a 10 th of a second, when you pass that RPM range.

Ha! Plus, I dont want to spend another 45mins getting the stock one out since Id have to put it back in until yours gets here.

That is interesting that the black bushing has quieted down. Maybe Powerflex will give us a Black and Yellow set to compare

I used WD40 and then on one side I put the biggest flat head screwdriver I had and bent one wing out. this let me push the screwdriver all the way through and basically, it braced itself on the outside of the bushing and holder.

I then did the same thing on the other side.

After that then I got yet another screwdriver and put it through the stock bushing hole where the bolt went through and then hit that screwdriver handle with a rubber mallet.

It popped right out and then WD40 went all over my face.

I had a pretty cool conversation with Powerflex USA today. During lunch I decided to send them an email asking if I could buy a black race bushing to compare the differences and to end the confusion

Hopefully by this time next week I will have the bushing in and will post a review.

Ok, the Race bushing I bought last week arrived and is already installed in my Mini. Initially, it is loud but has only been in a few hours and has been driven about 4mi.

Im really curious to see what it is like once it breaks in.

My initial impressions are that it is a bit heavier than the Sport bushing. The sport one was soft, the race one is like a brick. It almost feels plastic. Shifting feels pretty awesome too.

Here are the weights:

Stock - 233g
Sport - 377g
Race - 381g

Owning the race version,

my only question is... can I get close to the same performance & feel out of the sport version?

I know right. Its going to be a serious trade off. A little more cabin noise and incredible shifting and feel or a quiter ride and good, but not as good shifting as with the race in

I'm hoping this will translate to the exhaust shaking less.
The stock mount really sucks. Tons of engine movement.

When running yellow, Everyone agrees putting the black insert in? or naw?

When I had the yellow in I put the insert in. Personally, its the only way to go. I also put the insert in with the black bushing as well.

Having holes like the stock one has never made sense to me

Anyone able to take a video of how much the engine rocks with the new bushing? The F56 engine rocks forward and back pretty hard. I'm looking to reduce this.
