Just wanting to know how many of you guys have done a auto trans to manual trans swap? I have a 11 mini s. If so how bad was the job to do, I do know the skills to do just wanting to look into it more before I try.

 

The cost would be pretty high on something like this. Not to mention what it would do the resale value. If you're at really high mileage and don't care about selling it at some point then it might be worth a shot with used parts, but your better bet is to sell it and find a manual equipped car.

 

We've done this more than anyone on the R50 and R53 cars, but on the R56 it would never be worth it. And trying to program it would take so much time to develop it still wouldn't be cost effective.

 

Im having so much trouble with my automatic tranny to the point where i want to throw the whole car in the trashi might go crazy and do the conversion. i have a manual 2011 clubman S for parts and the one in craps is a 2013 base.

Did you at least have a list of items to be replaced for the conversion? i know the engine isnt one of them

 

Yeah I've heard of people doing it and at times I miss having a manual trans. Just didnt know if it would be worth the time.
