BYE BYE motor!
Ripped out my motor on my n14 in preparation for a full rebuild. Not coming back as the same Mini that's for sure! I'll be posting more vids on the full rebuild process on the channel.

WOW! This looks like my project from last year. Check out my "journal" if you haven't already --- https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post3240122 . I applaud your decision to take videos --- much friendlier to your audience.
Really interested in what "changes / mods" you're considering. I highly recommend head work, to improve engine "breathing". Lotsa decisions to be made too --- bigger exhaust for the new turbo? (and improved breathing), compression ratio for the new pistons, cam lift / duration and mfg'r (do you want to "relieve" the piston domes?), lightened flywheel (inertia losses affect launch, 'specially with a big turbo), WMI and what mix?, choice of tuner (I highly recommend Manic).
I'm not familiar with JMTC's turbo offerings, but I've heard they originate in China and have poor reliability. Whichever turbo you decide on, consider switching it to a positive pressure wastegate, instead of the OEM vacuum version. It can be controlled manually with a boost controller, and will still perform as set if the ECU decides to go into the "limp mode".
Again, take a look at my build journal. I've made mistakes, but so far, there aren't many others that are producing 350+ WHP & torque out of a "daily driver"!
Best of luck and keep us posted ---
