Drivetrain Oil in Mechanical Boost Gauge Line.....
Oil in Mechanical Boost Gauge Line.....
Thought I'd mention something I saw on my MCS. Not sure what it indicates but I connected my Boost Gauge line into the fuel pressure regulator line under the Supercharger. I wasn't able to complete the hookup to the gauge so I coiled up the tubing and clamped the end with a small vicegrip and layed it in the bottom of my Alta intake box. I went out yesterday to connect the line and noticed that the first 3 to 4 inches of the hose where i clamped it off to pervent a vacuum leak was filled with oil.
I'm sure it's because of the fact that the hose was lower than the engine intake because it was sitting at the bottom of my airbox but insn't their still potential that I could get oil in the boost gauge line once it's connected to the boost gauge and won't that negatively affect boost gauge performance?
