Just thinking...a two step would be a benefit for those of us who spend a lot of time on the strip. Especially with a 19%. We could set a good launch rpm, and protect over-rev. (maybe even set rpm limit at say...6800 and then use a 20-22% pulley)

Any thoughts?

Please, *****-footers and road track people...don't start flaming. I know the MINI is not a drag car. I'm just trying to extend my 1/4 mile pleasure.

The DME keeps track of gear ratio (calculated from road speed and rpm), so it should be possible for a chiptuner to make use of this information to provide different redlines for different gears. Something like the Unichip may be able to use an external signal (like a microswitch tripped by first gear), but the Unichip cannot increase the rev limiter in the MCS application.
